Summary

User and Argent could miss the product heartbeat emails after user suspends some server/device in CMDB-X. Further checking the Relator Trace Log, it shows repeated lines of ‘Server is suspended’.

The issue has been addressed in Argent AT 5.1A-2101-A and later.

Technical Background

This is caused by coding error. Internally, suspension flag is only initialized at the beginning of scheduling loop. Heartbeat Relator did not reset the flag if it happened to be set for some really suspended node immediately before Heartbeat Relator.

Because the order of nodes in the loop is sort of random depending on Relator schedules, the issue might not happen to every user.

Resolution

Upgrade to Argent AT 5.1A-2101-A or later.
