Summary

When an Argent Calendar is renamed in Argent Job Scheduler GUI and if that Calendar is configured in Schedule of a Job, all the Calendar entries (NOT just the renamed entry) in the Schedule get updated with the newly renamed Calendar

Technical Background

When an Argent Calendar is renamed, the updated name is expected to reflect on all Job Schedule definitions

But all the Calendar entries (NOT just the renamed entry) in the Schedule get updated with the newly renamed Calendar

This happens to all Job Schedules which have the renamed Calendar

For example, say we have three Calendars namely CAL_MONTHLY, CAL_WEEKLY, CAL_DAILY configured in a Job’s schedule

When CAL_DAILY is renamed to CAL_ALL_DAYS, all three Calendars in the Job’s Schedule get updated to CAL_ALL_DAYS

So the Job’s schedule will have three Calendar entries with same name CAL_ALL_DAYS

Before renaming CAL_DAILY

After renaming CAL_DAILY to CAL_ALL_DAYS

This was a coding issue and is addressed in Argent Job Scheduler 10.0A-1908-A

Resolution

Upgrade to Argent Job Scheduler 1908-A or above
