Summary

Addressed an issue where Argent Console Motor skips console event archiving even it is enabled on GUI

Technical Background

A coding error in program ARGSOFT_PURGE.EXE that prevents it from reading the motor configuration SQL table. It continues reading the setting from registry, which is not updated under Non-Stop Monitor environment

3.1A-1310-A corrects both issues of reading configurable SQL table and replicate relevant registry keys properly for easier inspection

Resolution

Upgrade to Argent AT 3.1A-1310-A or above

Customers who cannot upgrade for the time being can use the workaround. Copy the following registries from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ARGENT\ARGENT_CONSOLE
to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ARGENT\ARGENT_CONSOLE\SERVER:

• ENABLE_ARC
• ARC_DAYS_OLD
• ARC_ODBC_SOURCE
• ARC_SQL_TABLE
• ARC_EVENT_TYPE
• ARC_SQL_BACKEND

Customers have to do so for each motor
