Summary

Addressed the issue of Argent Job Scheduler Service getting stopped and restarted every few minutes

Technical Background

This issue occurs when an offline unreachable Queue Engine exist

The thread that submits the Jobs to the particular Queue Engine does not get completed in a timely fashion as the Queue Engine Server is unreachable

Argent Job Scheduler Service that is monitoring all threads, fails to get a ‘status live‘ message from this particular thread

As a result the Argent Job Scheduler Service restarts itself on the conclusion that the thread is either hung or killed

Added functionality for preventing Jobs getting submitted to an offline Queue Engine Server and logging the status of the offline Queue Engine Server

Argent Job Scheduler rechecks the connection every 2 minutes once a Queue Engine goes offline and the jobs are submitted only when the Queue Engine is back online

Upgrade to Argent Job Scheduler 1312-B or above
