Summary

Jobs will not archive properly due to job log exceeding 64K size limit imposed by SQL for ‘max text repl siz’.

Technical Background

This is a SQL Server limitation, not an Argent limitation and it ONLY applies to clients who are using SQL for archiving.

Resolution

Have the client take the following steps to resolve this condition.

1. Open the Main GUI on the Scheduling Engine.
2. From the Menu bar, select ‘Settings’ and click on ‘Configuration Options’ – This will bring up the Configuration Options window.
3. Select the ‘Rollover & Archiving’ tab.
4. Click on the button for ‘ODBC Setup’.
5. Under ‘Archive Job Log File in’ have the client select ‘Copy of Job Log File’.
6. Click ‘OK’.
7. Click ‘Apply’.
8. Click ‘OK’.
