Summary

Argent software needs to be installed logged in as the service account, or setup will fail.

Technical Background

The Argent Service account has been granted the permissions necessary to function inside the customer’s network. When another account is used setup fails because it lacks the necessary permissions to perform an installation. Issues will arise after setup if different accounts are used for setup and then a separate account is used for running the Argent service. A key consideration to trouble shooting should be whether the customer is using the Argent service account.

Resolution

Instruct the customer to log out and then log back in using the Argent service account and rerun the installation and it will succeed.
