Summary

When applying a license file, the following error dialog is displayed after applying the license key:

The license file XXXX.LIC does not contain license for current product

Technical Background

Customers will notice this occurs when they apply the license file in the Events and Alerts snap-in ONLY.

This does NOT occur when they apply the license file the other snap-in areas (e.g. Monitoring, Data Security, etc.)

Resolution

Apply the license file under a snap-in other than Events and Alerts.

Conversely, this issue has been addressed in 8.0A-0907-C and onwards.
