Summary

While connecting to the default database on a SQL Server, an ODBC exception is sometimes thrown if the server has multiple versions of SQL Server installed

Technical Background

This is a known Microsoft bug — there is nothing Argent can do

Worse, it is intermittent — it does not occur always

This weird error throws a Microsoft Error code of -1

The issue happens when a connection is tried to the default database and the server has multiple versions of SQL Server installed

Use another server which has only one version of SQL Server installed
