Summary

This article explains how Argent for SharePoint monitors SharePoint 2010/2013 Server

Technical Background

Argent for SharePoint uses PowerShell Remoting to communicate with the SharePoint 2010 and 2013 servers

PowerShell Remoting allows connect and monitor SharePoint servers remotely

So Argent for SharePoint does not requires an Argent for SharePoint Trusted Agent to be installed in SharePoint 2010 and 2013 Front-end server

To check the status of PowerShell Remote Management in both the Argent server and the remote SharePoint server

PowerShell Remoting does not support for SharePoint 2007 server, so it requires an Argent for SharePoint Trusted Agent be installed on the SharePoint Front-end server

To monitor a SharePoint 2010/2013 server, license the Node as Windows server and specify the required node properties as shown below:

Specify the user Logon and Password that is used to install SharePoint/SharePoint Farm

Then select the SharePoint version, Argent for SharePoint supports SharePoint 2007, 2010 and 2013 versions of SharePoint
