Summary

It is safe to continue to use SQL Compact 3.5 with Argent Advanced Technology, in spite of SQL Server Compact 3.5 being End Of Life (EOL)

Technical Background

As one database option Argent Advanced Technology works with SQL Server Compact 3.5 but only version 3.5 – Argent AT will not work with any other version of SQL Server Compact

SQL Server Compact has been deemed by Microsoft to be no longer officially support – “End of Life” or EOL is Microsoft term

In spite of this, it is completely safe to continue to use SQL Server Compact with Argent Advanced Technology

If a customer is forced to upgrade to a later version of SQL Server Compact or to uninstall SQL Server Compact 3.5 due to any internal policies, he may switch to either SQL Express or SQL Server full version as backend for Argent Advanced Technology
