Customers may report that the Job log archive process is taking a long time to complete during the nightly Rollover and Archiving

Technical Background

Anti-virus scanning of Job log files during Job log file archiving can lengthen the time for archiving the files

When Job log files are copied from the Argent Queue Engine servers to the Argent Job Scheduler server during the archiving process, anti-virus software will often scan each file being copied

Customers with many jobs can experience delays while each Job log file is scanned by the anti-virus software

Resolution

Excluding Argent directories from the virus scanning will prevent this delay
