Summary

By default, Argent Omega service account is a Product Administrator. A Product Administrator has full access to all features and control information in the product.

One common case is that Argent Omega uses a Group Managed Service Account (gMSA) as a service account. Apparently, the user cannot log in using gMSA as password is managed by system.

The other case is that the user might have misconfigured Security module. As results, nobody can log into Argent Omega anymore.

In either case, the user loses access to Security module to reconfigure login accounts. Now it is stuck.

Argent Omega provides command line utility ArgentOmegaCLI.exe to address this issue.

This utility must be executed locally on Argent Omega Generator machine.

The user should log in locally or remotely to Argent Omega Generator machine; Run Command Prompt (cmd.exe) as administrator; Change directory to Argent Omega home path, which is typically C:\Argent\ArgentOmega; Then run following command.

(Set current service account as Product Administrator)
ArgentOmegaCLI/administrator/reset

(Set a specific account as Product Administrator)
ArgentOmegaCLI/administrator/account:user@domain
