Summary

Customers can now give alias names to Argent AT Daughter Engines in AT 3.1A-1307 and later.

Technical Background

Argent AT Daughter Engines generally use machine names as its name.

Sometimes customers want or need to give aliases to Argent AT Daughter Engines — common cases include:

1. Daughter Engines have the same machine name. This happens when a customer builds machines using a VM template, or the default machine name of a Microsoft Small Business Suite. In order to differentiate the machines, an alias must be given.

2. Customers want a custom name instead of a hard-to-remember machine name for the Daughter Engine.

Resolution

This new feature is implemented in Argent AT 3.1A-1307 or above

Customers have the option to specify the Daughter Engine Alias during the installation of the Daughter Engine.
