Summary

When Query Results of SQL Query Rules in Argent for SQL Server are exported as CSV file along with the Email Alert, the CSV file gets scrambled

Please note that the issue is only in Argent AT 1507-A version as it is a new feature implemented in 1507-A

Technical Background

SQL Query Rules in Argent for SQL Server has been enhanced in 1507-A version to send query results as CSV file along with the Email Alert

Email Alerts can be configured to use either MAPI or SMTP

The new feature works fine with MAPI and when it is used with SMTP settings, it is required to set ‘Advanced MIME’ in Attachment Encoding

The CSV file will get scrambled without this setting for SMTP configuration

This feature will be made working without this optional setting in 1507-T1

Resolution

Set ‘Advanced MIME’ in ‘Attachment Encoding’ in ‘Email’ configuration in screen ‘A3B’ as shown below
