KBI 311569 Issue Addressed: Trusted Agent Shows Unknown Service Status In GUI

A remote Trusted Agent that functions perfectly might show service status ‘Unknown’ on the GUI.

This is purely a cosmetic issue, this does not affect how the Supervising Engine or Trusted Agent runs.

The issue has been addressed in Argent Advanced Technology 5.1A-1707-C or above.

Technical Background

Argent Advanced Technology GUI uses the timestamp of the file WO{Agent}\{Agent}.LVF to determine the status of a remote Trusted Agent.

The files are periodically purged to avoid phantom Trusted Agents caused by stale LVF files.

Depending on timing, if the correspondent LVF is removed and the remote Trusted Agent has not been sent a new one, the ‘Unknown’ status can appear.

The code has been enhanced to double check the heartbeat information in the database if the LVF file is not found.
