Summary

Argent for VMware Engine does not work with VMware PowerCLI 6.0 and later

No VMware specific feature works at all

The given reason is that PowerCLI 4.0.1 or 5.5.0 is not installed

The issue has been addressed in Argent Advanced Technology 5.1A-1710-C

Technical Background

VMware vSphere PowerCLI 4.x and 5.x use .NET Framework 2.0 technologies including PowerShell Engine 2.x and PowerShell Snap-In, while PowerCLI 6.x switches to .NET Framework 4.x and uses PowerShell Modules instead

Argent Advanced Technology 5.1A-1710-C is enhanced to use PowerShell Engine 3.x and later so that it can integrate with modules of PowerCLI 6.x

Argent Advanced Technology also maintains backward compatibility so that installation of PowerCLI 4.0.1 and 5.5.0 will continue functioning correctly

Upgrade to Argent Advanced Technology 5.1A-1710-C or above
