Production tasks in Argent Defender Ultra fail to run.

For fresh installs, the installation may have displayed error messages such as ‘Microsoft Exception Detected’ briefly.

For existing users, production tasks may have run fine before, but suddenly stop running after a Windows Update.

Testing tasks interactively will have no issues – the issue is only present for production tasks.

Technical Background

The issue is caused by a Microsoft hotfix or update, which is undetermined at this point.

The hotfix or update breaks a certain line of code that previously ran with no issues.

The issue has been seen on Windows 2012 R2 Standard and Windows 10 Enterprise machines.


Upgrade to Argent Defender Ultra 1704-A or higher to address or prevent this issue from occurring after future Windows updates.
