Summary
Cross Reference Tables in Argent Reports now have the following columns that can be added:
- Alerts, Escalations, and Auto-Correction During Business Hours*
- Alerts, Escalations, and Auto-Correction After Business Hours*
- Node: Alternative IP, Location, Make, Model, Vendor, Type and Description
- Relator: Prerequisite Rules, Relator Triggers
- Rules: Description and Threshold (for Performance Rules only)
- Relator Schedule: Start Time, End Time, Frequency (Daily, Weekly, etc.) and Repeat Minutes (e.g. Every 5 minutes)
Additionally:
- Alerts now include optional time ranges and calendar definitions used
- Grouping options have been added to allowing grouping by Node, or Rule and Node
- Option to ‘Hide Group Subtitles‘ (useful for Excel reports – removes group headers for a continuous, sortable Excel spreadsheet)
- Option to show Alert Escalation as relative time figures (default) or absolute time figures**
Technical Background
* “Business Hours” can be defined in the XML\ARGSOFT_INTERNAL_SETTINGS.XML globally, under the “BUSINESS_HHMM24_START” and “BUSINESS_HHMM24_END” entries
The default is “8:00” to “17:00” (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
** By default, Alert Escalation displays minutes as ‘minutes relative to previous escalation entry’. Some customers may prefer to have ‘absolute’ minutes relative to the initial event itself.
This is defined in XML\ARGSOFT_INTERNAL_SETTINGS.XML, under the “XREF_ABSOLUTE_ESCALATION” entry. A value of “0” is default, and “1” enables absolute calculations.
