Technical Background

The Microsoft WSUS (Windows Server Update Services) is installed on the server and this facility automatically enables 64-bit compression that causes all 32-bit applications running in IIS to fail

Resolution

  1. Disable the WSUS compression by running following command on Web Server hosting Argent Reports or Argent Commander

    2. %windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd.exe set config -section:system.webServer/httpCompression /-[name=’xpress’]

  2. Alternatively move WSUS to different server
