Installed Unix Rule Engine, Next Step?

After you have done the heavy lifting of installing the actual Unix Rule Engine, the next step is simple

There is an option Use Unix Rule Engine on the Unix server setting

This can be “(local)“, in which case the Rule Script is simply run on the local machine

Alternatively, the option can be set to another machine

In this case the second machine will execute the Rule Scripts on the monitored machine using OpenSSH to transfer and execute the Rule Scripts

When this option is selected, the Argent Guardian generates control information

The control information contains the Relator, Rule Script, schedule and control information

The Unix Rule Engine running on the Unix server periodically checks the Argent Guardian supervising engine (port 3191) to download the new control information, new Rule Scripts, and other control information
