Summary

Upon executing SETUP.EXE from _ARGENT_AT_INSTALL you are presented with this error “The system cannot execute the specified program.”

Or; “This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this”

Technical Background

The executable SETUP.EXE is dependent on Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 redistributable libraries.

Resolution

Execute VCREDIST_X86.EXE from _ARGENT_AT_INSTALL; this installs Microsoft Visual C++ SP1 Redistributable Package

For 64-bit OS you will be required to install both VCREDIST_X86.EXE and VCREDIST_X64.EXE

Re-run SETUP.EXE
