Summary

When finding Users or Groups, Argent Commander may always return “No users or groups found” despite trying different masks and filters.

This KBI assumes you have verified that the server does in fact have admin privileges (under the current logged-in account) to browse and view a list of all Active Directory users.

Technical Background

Argent Commander uses impersonation tokens that are initialized at the beginning of a session.

Some functions, such as accessing querying Active Directory’s users and group listings, requires the impersonation token to be re-instantiated, otherwise access will be denied.

Resolution

This has been addressed in Argent Commander 2.0A-1105-T5 or above.
